About Tim Brooks

Tim Brooks is a farmer, businessman, and longtime public servant who believes strong communities are built by neighbors who care about where they live.

Tim has called Marion County home for several years after previously living and working in the Chattanooga area. With more than 25 years of experience working in local government, including time serving as an infrastructure inspector in public works, Tim understands how local government operates and the responsibility leaders have to serve their communities well.

Today, Tim is proud to call Marion County home with his family. His son attends Jasper Middle School, and like many parents in the community, Tim cares deeply about the future of local education and making sure the next generation has the opportunities they deserve.

Outside of work and public service, Tim enjoys the simple things that make life in Marion County special. He’s a farmer who raises chickens and ducks, spends time outdoors, and enjoys grilling and smoking meats for family and friends. You’ll also often find him behind the wheel of his Jeep at local meetups or out mudding on the trails with others who share the same love for the outdoors and community.

Tim believes leadership should come from people who are part of the community, not distant from it. He wants to be present, accessible, and engaged with the people of Marion County.

That’s why Tim is running—to serve his neighbors with integrity, common sense, and a genuine commitment to making Marion County an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.
